I had my eye on these sheet masks since they first came out, because I just love the packaging, but it’s taken me quite a while to actually get my hands on them. These are the 3CE Back to Baby Mask (in the Nourishing Special version), which come in a box set of three. They’re currently on sale at StyleKorean for USD$11.70, which is a great price because they usually sell for USD$19.50 which is pretty expensive but makes sense since this isn’t just a traditional sheet mask.
I’m a fan of the 3CE brand but, generally, have been more of a fan of their colour cosmetics – some of their base make up leaves a little to be desired, and they have only released limited skincare products. In addition to their white milk collection (which I liked the cream from but don’t really use anything else), they have now expanded on their Back to Baby line with these sheet masks!
I received these to review from StyleKorean and I was planning on waiting for a while longer, since I had some skin allergies last week, but I tried this mask on yesterday and my skin is feeling instantly better! Product Description
According to the product description on the official page, this is a mask that “focuses on nutrient-dense hydration for a lustrous complexion.” It is a two step mask, the first being the Glow Essence Stick which is meant to nourish dry skin, and the second step being a more traditional sheet mask with a cream-like essence to help trap moisture and leave skin dewy. The website lists four main selling points:
- Hyaluronic Acid | Replenish your skin with hyaluronic acid, which is full in baby’s skin but diminishes with age, to help regular skin with elasticity and volume
- ‘Glow Essence Stick’ | A blend of olive oil, macadamia seed oil and camellia oil creates a barrier of protection and soothes chapped and flakey skin leaving it smooth and supple
- Nourishing cream mask | Hyaluronic acid and NMF (Natural Moisturising Factor) hydrate and wrap skin with a dewy layer of moisture
- A microfibre sheet mask | The ultra-fine microfibre sheet is drenched in long-lasting moisturising factors to deliver nutrients deeply and efficiently into the skin
This sheet mask is available in three different variations: ultra moist (which has a cleansing pad and is intended for those who need a deep cleanse and intense hydration), nourishing special (for radiance and nourishments – which is what I have) and the clearing treatment (which is for exfoliation, soothing and hydration).
For this Nourishing Sheet Mask, the application steps are as follows:
- Spread the glow essence evenly over your face, leaving the eyes and mouth area
- Apply the sheet mask and leave it on for 10-15 minutes, tapping in the essence afterwards
Packaging
As I mentioned earlier, these masks are sold in sets of three. The nourishing version specifically comes in a soft pink coloured box which has the same design as the actual mask packaging. The design of this mask has a very clean and modern feel, but it’s really cute! I like it. The concept of it reminds me of a notepad or lined paper, with little illustrations. I especially like the use of hashtags and bold typography, which fits in very well with the 3CE brand.
Opening it up, the sheet mask packs are perforated so they can be torn in the middle to seperate the two parts. The packaging has a slight matte finish, giving it a more luxurious feeling. That, in addition to the box packaging, makes the overall product have a substantial look – that is, it doesn’t look cheap and, while the design is too trendy to look like a high end product, it still gives the impression of something that is expensive.
I also like that the three variations are colour coded (pink, beige and orange) so that, even if you keep them in the boxes, you can easily discern them when they’re stacked together. They look great and, if I were to buy these for someone, I also think that they would look really good as a set.
Application
The first step of the application is with the glow essence stick and, because I didn’t look at proper photos of the product before using it, I was really surprised by the sheer size of the applicator! The cotton bud feels very soft and not scratchy at all. It coats the face in the essence very easily since it’s broad and dense enough to be highly saturated in product – in fact, the packet in general is so full of essence that I could save it for a second application the next night.
The essence, which consists of various oils, has a light but (of course) oily texture. It was a bit strange for me to use at first, since I seldom use oils in my skincare routine, but I felt like this made a great difference – it have my skin an instant hydration and, if I had any dry areas on my face, that was immediately gone.
There is a slight baby powder scent in both parts though this is very gentle and pleasant, not at all overpowering.
The second part of the mask is the sheet mask and, as soon as I pulled it out, I could feel that this was a very thick mask. This sheet is made of microfibre so, while it is dense, it is also very soft and pliable to the face – it hugged the sides of my cheeks and chin very well and did not slip or slide at all. Similar to the first step, this part also has a lot of creamy essence and the mask even dripped a little while I was trying to put it on. If you have any clean sheet masks, you can save the remaining essence for a second application (which I did).
I kept this mask on for at least 15 minutes, though I am thinking it’s closer to 20. Since the sheet is very dense, the product is able to slowly absorb into the skin (rather than drying out) so this is a mask that I would really take my time with. I worked while waiting for this mask to absorb and there was zero mess or slippage. In fact, the overall application of this mask was a lot cleaner than I thought it would be!
Personal Experiences
My skin was looking a lot better even with just the glow essence but, once I took the sheet mask off as well, I could tell that my complexion was glowing. My skin had a brightness and radiance to it that has been absent for the past few weeks (someone please tell me why my skin is doing this to me), and it also looked and felt very supple and hydrated. There was no sticky residue left afterwards, but you can still feel a bit of the oils – most of it has absorbed though. It isn’t heavy at all and, by the next morning, there was no residue left.
Waking up the next morning, my skin felt soft and hydrated but I noticed that it didn’t have the usual oils that I wake up with. In fact, my complexion looked a lot healthier and even my break outs looked calmer by the next day (though, even without the mask, they have been very slowly coming down). My make up applied well and, overall, my skin just felt very well taken care of.
The only downside to this mask, I guess, is the price. It’s currently on sale, which is great, but the full retail price of this is isn’t cheap when you break it down – approximately 6-7 dollars per mask. This isn’t something that I would use every day, but perhaps save it as a bi-weekly treatment. This does work really well though, so I think that I want to try the other two variations too! They actually have a different step (instead of the essence stick) or a different order of the steps, so I feel like the results will actually vary a lot.
And so, here’s the verdict!

WOULD I RECOMMEND?
Highly recommended! I absolutely love this mask and, similar to the Shake & Shot which is now another staple favourite of mine, I also think that I will be stocking up on these when I can. Depending on your skin needs, of course, do check out the other variations but I really like this nourishing one. I’ve always been a sucker for a hyaluronic acid mask.
