In terms of cosmetics, 3CE has been going from strength to strength for me, and so when these Tattoo Lip Tints were released, I was all over that! It’s taken me a while to get my hands on them, mostly because I was hesitating at the price, but BB Cosmetic was so generous to send me them to review and I can confidently confirm that they are worth the money! And I will definitely be looking to get my hands on the rest of them.
These tints come in five colours (Coma, Coolest, Candy Jelly, Luztic and Yay or Nay) and I got my hands on two of them – Coma and Candy Jelly. These sell for USD$12.15 on the BB Cosmetic website, which is already below the RRP on the official Stylenanda website and also includes free shipping. It is a bit more expensive than Peripera – which is my other favourite lip tint – but I actually prefer the formula of this one and would happily pay the extra two dollars for it.
And, with that, let’s go right into the review.
For my general PA: Remember to check out BB Cosmetic to get your hands on these (or any other products from 3CE). They have free international shipping with no minimum purchase, and you can also get an additional 8% off with my code (which I don’t make money from, but will bring down that cart total): QAL3F6ZA8YZ
This product promises:
- Super long lasting power with a formula that instantly adheres to your lips and gives you intense colour payoff.
- Dramatic, deep colour that glides over your lips and gives you a clear, vivid colour with a non-greasy finish.
- A non-drying and comfortable finish, as it is composed of 11 plant-derived oils (Argan kernel oil, olive oil, camellia oil, jojoba seed oil and shea butter) that protects and moisturises your lips.
- An awesome lip-hugging applicator (which you can read about below).
In a way, this lip tint reminds me a lot of the Peripera Peri’s Ink tints – the originals – with the same vivid colour and super long wearing formula. The main difference, however, is that the ink tints tend to settle into your lips and dry them out while this product has a hydrating finish that doesn’t accentuate dry lips at all. Throughout the day, it will dry your lips out a bit and stain it, but any reapplication will still look flawless.
There is a slightly glossy finish when your first apply it and the tint feels a little bit tacky (sticky) but it is transfer-proof! The stickiness will go away as you go through your day and you will be left with a very strong and pigmented stain.
The lip tints come in a chic looking pink matte box with a trendy, melted heart image on it. It fits in so well with their brand and, to be honest, 3CE is really great when it comes to their packaging design. It’s simple but fashionable, which also makes it look well worth the slightly higher price tag. However, I am not sure about the gloss plastic packaging of the actual tube. It isn’t bad, but I think that a matte finish or maybe a heavier material would have looked classier. It doesn’t look cheap, but has room for improvement.
The thing I really did love about the packaging though, was this crazy applicator! It’s very similar to a doe foot applicator but has a curve which perfectly hugs your lips, making it really easy to apply. It gives you really good control over the product, even in the corners, and also allows for a single swipe application (if you’re bold enough for a full lip). The applicator is also good in that it absorbs the formula (which is more on the watery gel side) when you pull it out, so it doesn’t over do it.
And above are the swatches on my hand! The top one is Candy Jelly – a bright fuschia pink that is really bold, fun and also flattering. The bottom on is Coma, which looks quite red in this swatch (which is a single application) but can very easily be layered to create that deep, vampy look from their official swatches. In fact, I managed to use Coma to exactly replicate the look on Stylenanda’s model and I think they did a really great job at giving accurate swatches. The latter is definitely my favourite.
I really love these lip tints and I find myself reaching for them every time I want to do something bold – I’m often even choosing them over Peripera and their lip tints are a HG product for me. My only two complaints about this tint is that it’s extremely hard to remove, and they only have five colours! Excuse me, 3CE – I want more!
Still, I’ll definitely be looking to get my hands on the rest of them soon and, so far, BB Cosmetic has a great price (and I’m not just saying that because they sent me this – you all know I’m never like that). Here’s the final verdict!

WOULD I RECOMMEND?
Absolutely! If you are after a bold, long wearing lip tint then I would definitely recommend checking these out. They cost a bit more, but the quality and formula is well worth it, in my opinion. These are not for the faint hearted, however, so go in expecting an electric jolt of colour (and the need for a lip scrub that evening).
