Review: Filter Shot (16 Brand)

16 Brand Filter Shot Kbeauty Review

This product was sent to me by StyleKorean for review purposes. I was not paid for this post but please note that affiliate links are used on my blog. These go towards supporting Oh My Stellar and future content.

My contour is the second most important step of my make up routine and I’m always on the look out for new products. The Filter Shot contour pact from 16 Brand is one that originally caught my eye on Instagram, but it took a little while until I found out it was available on StyleKorean’s website! I did go back and forth about this for a while, because I didn’t have a good experience with the Eye Magazine (their one swipe eye shadow product). A lot of these type of things don’t work for me because my face shape is a bit different to the ‘average’ Asian face – which is the target audience – but I figured that I had to give this a shot anyway!

So the Filter Shot is a one swipe contour pact. It comes in two shades but, essentially, one is for nose contour and one is for face contour – so it’s really just the one shade. I have the Contour Peach shade, which is for the nose. This, and the Shading Almond colour, are currently selling on StyleKorean for USD$17.60 – which isn’t too bad actually!

Check out their website if you want to grab it but, otherwise, let’s jump into this review.

Review: R U 16 Taste-Chu (16 Brand)

16 Brand R U 16 Taste Chu Lipstick StyleKorean Review

I love bullet lipsticks but, in this case, the packaging definitely won me over. I know! I’m always a sucker for things but like but, considering that this is a 16 Brand product, I was also pretty confident that the formula would be decent! I wasn’t wrong too, because after trying these out, I totally get why some people have been raving about them and I already want more shades.

This is the R U 16 Taste-Chu Lipstick from 16 Brand. They are essentially a blur-look matte finish lipstick that is candy themed. All of the shades are named after some sort of sweet and the lipstick shades (and scents) are good enough to eat. In fact, my mum thought that someone else me chocolate when these first arrived… hehe!

These products were sent to me for review by StyleKorean, who actually carry a really great range of 16 Brand stuff! The lipsticks come in four different shades (which I will discuss below) and I have two here to swatch and review – Brown Fudge and Cherry Almond.

If you’d like to pick these up, they’re currently on sale for USD$14.40 (down from USD$18) on the StyleKorean website but do grab them quickly! They were almost sold out when I looked last and they just restocked, so I think these go quick.

And now, let’s get into this!

Review: 16 Mochi Pact (16 Brand)

16 Brand Mochi Pact Kbeauty Review StyleKorean

With all of the new releases that have been coming out in Western brands, I admit that I’ve been a bit lax with following kbeauty news – I know about the bigger collections of course, but some of the smaller brands have fallen off my radar. Luckily though, I have some awesome friends who are totally on the ball and when StyleKorean posted about this new Mochi Pact highlighter from 16 Brand, my friend Liz (from @lizlamloves – please give her some love, she’s the sweetest) messaged me right away!

I wasn’t sure if I wanted to try it at first, because I generally don’t use cream blushers or highlighters, but with the super pretty promotional photos and videos – I just really wanted to try it!

StyleKorean sent me through one of these to review and I’m glad that they did because I discovered that this is more of a soft, cream-to-powder formula that definitely picks up with a brush! The product comes in three shades, but I decided to go for Peach Light which is their pink highlight (and the one in the promo videos that got my attention).

If you want to get your hands on these, head over to StyleKorean where they are currently on sale for USD$14.08 (on sale from USD$17.60) – and without further ado, let’s get into the review!

Review: Eye Magazine – Sweet Sunday (16 Brand)

Sixteen Brand Eye Magazine Sweet Sunday Kbeauty Review StyleKorean

This product was sent to me by StyleKorean for review purposes. I was not paid for this post but please note that affiliate links are used on my blog. These go towards supporting Oh My Stellar and future content.

I’ve used one of these one swipe eyeshadows one other time in the past and, to be honest, the experience was rather terrible. I have a strange eyeshadow where I have multiple eyelids – most Asian people either have monolids or double, but a few of us seem to have been blessed with a hundred and two. I’ve been told that this makes our eyes look rounded and larger but, really, all I’ve noticed is that it makes eye make up rather difficult. Because of these folds, which are also uneven on both eyes, I have difficulty doing winged eyeliner. Another problem I have tends to be with these one swipe shadows because the product applicator is designed for a flatter and more even surface.

Still, when I came across these Sixteen Brand 16 Eye Magazine shadows, I wanted to try them out at least once. The packaging is really cute and, since it’s a powder form, I was also more confident that it wouldn’t blend out into nothing like the Laneige Two Tone Eye Bars. This also has a brush applicator and the ratio of the two colours can be customised to your own preferences. so I liked that these are more flexible. Even if I was unable to use them as intended, I knew that they would work as a standard shadow duo.

So, StyleKorean sent me over one of these to try out. I chose the Sweet Sunday variation, which is a combination between a warm dark brown and gold shimmer. These Eye Magazine shadows come in four variations (Every Day, Hello Monday, Sweet Sunday and Hey My Day). They usually sell for USD$19.23 but are currently on sale for USD$11.99.

Review: Candy Rock Palette (16 Brand)

StyleKorean Review Kbeauty 16 Brand Brick It Shadow Hit 10 Candy Rock

This product was sent to me by StyleKorean for review purposes. I was not paid for this post but please note that affiliate links are used on my blog. These go towards supporting Oh My Stellar and future content.

You know those special, pretty products that you see online (usually on Instagram) and you sort of fawn over them for a really long time? This palette from 16 Brand was one of them. I first came across this candy coloured product on social media and I had looked over all of the official swatches and videos, but I couldn’t find anywhere online that stocked it. Unfortunately, 16 Brand is still a little bit hard to get outside of Korea – the only online store that I have found is StyleKorean and, actually, they only recently stocked this palette.

This is from their Brickit Shadow Hit 10 collection, of which there was previously a Choco set. This Candy Rock palette features 10 shimmering, unicorn candy colours that range from pastel pinks and purples, to beautiful coppers. All of the colours are shimmers, of course, so this isn’t a palette that you can use on its own. However, from the photos that I saw, the product promised some really interesting and unique shades that worked amazingly for point colours.

I received this palette from StyleKorean for review, where you can buy it (or a range of other 16 Brand products) for USD$28.97. Check out their website, but first let’s get into the review.
