New Release: Blue Blood Collection (Jeffree Star Cosmetics)

Jeffree Star Blue Blood New Release Blackswallow

When ever there’s a new release with Jeffree Star Cosmetics, it seems like the whole world stops to look – and it was no different with this recent launch of the Blue Blood Collection (including the super covetable palette, which is the sister product to his cult favourite Blood Sugar Palette). This collection dropped a couple of days ago and – as expected – the brand is not only right on trend with the beauty community, but also daring enough to push the boundaries of convention.

They did it once with the bold, red themed Blood Sugar and they are doing it again with the (almost) all blue Blue Blood.

Everything is now available on the Jeffree Star website or at Black Swallow. If you’re Australian based, I highly recommend buying from them as they are official stockists and have a ridiculously fast shipping service for us too (free for orders over AUD$100 and with 10% off for all students). Now let’s look over everything!

Review: Magic Mini Palette (Juvia’s Place)

Juvia's Place Magic Mini Palette Black Swallow

I had heard a lot about Juvia’s Place but they’re a brand that I had always sort of put off trying. None of their palettes had really caught my eye and, although the pigmentation of them looked amazing in videos, I was unsure about how I would use them. They are an indie brand and, because of that, are not to widely available in Australia – but I recently did find a place that, not only ships to me, but also sells the palettes for a reasonable price! Black Swallow, whose office I had visited a couple months ago to film a GRWM, actually stocks a good range from the brand. I didn’t get to try out any of the Juvia’s Place palettes while I was there (I instead found myself drawn to the Lunar Beauty) but I did finally get to see them in person and – let me tell you – this palette is magic.

Yes, today I will be reviewing the Magic Mini Palette by Juvia’s Place. This is the smaller size of the Magic palette, containing the same 16 shades as the full size but in slightly smaller pan sizes. That being said, I still think that this is a rather large palette and I would be hesitant to use something bigger. I bought this during Black Swallow‘s 3rd birthday sale (congratulations, guys!) and – seriously – I have no regrets!

This palette retails for AUD$54 (the large palettes are AUD$63) and is honestly worth every cent! It is currently out of stock, but I’m sure that Black Swallow will be restocking them soon.

So, let’s get right into the review!

New Release: Velour Lip Liners & Supreme Frost (Jeffree Star)

Jeffree Star Velour Lip Liner New Release Black Swallow

Talk about the new Jeffree Star Velour Lip Liners (and the new Supreme Frosts) had been buzzing around for quite a while and just a few days ago, he made the official announcement of the launch! These products are an exciting new addition to his range and will be launching tonight – yes, the announcement and the release was insanely close, as is usual.

I haven’t managed to get my hands on them yet (just not important enough for PR /sob sob) but I did get a bunch of promotion photos and also real life product shots from Black Swallow to share! For those who don’t know, Black Swallow is an Australian, Sydney based online store that stocks a lot of different beauty brands, in particular those like Jeffree Star Cosmetics or Juvias Place, which is generally harder to access here.

If you’re keen to shop this collection, head over to the Black Swallow website tonight to put in your orders – the lip liners are in-stock and ready to ship, while the Supreme Frosts are a pre-order item.

Review: The Wing Eyeliner

Winged Eyeliner Stamp Beauty Review Blackswallow

This product was gifted to me by Black Swallow during a live stream that I filmed for them, but I was not asked to review the products. This is not a sponsored post and no affiliate links are used.

I have never in my life been able to make winged liner work. Regardless of how much I practice, I always end up with the two sides going in completely different directions so I have since given up and instead angle my liner downwards in a puppy style (which follows my natural eyelid fold). I blame this partly on my own skin, but also on the fact that I have multiple creases on my eyes which makes its nearly impossible to make eye make up look smooth.

When I was in the Black Swallow office recently to do a live stream, they introduced me to a few of the products that they carry and one of my happy discoveries was this! This is the Wing Eyeliner, which is one of those eyeliner stamps that I’ve seen on Instagram and youtube about a million times over the past few years. I’ve never actually tried these because I always figured that they wouldn’t work for my multi-lidded eyes, but I was so surprised at how well it worked for me! I actually tried them on for the first time on the live stream (so that was my genune first impression) and the liner worked so well that I’ve been using it every day since.

At the moment, the brand only sells these wing liner stamps, but they do have them in varying sizes (6mm to 12mm). The Wing Eyeliner is stocked on Black Swallow and you can get them for AUD$34.99, which includes the set of two wing stamps – one for the right and a left.

And so, I really want to share this product with everyone because it worked so well for me! If you have trouble with getting your winged liner even, then this is definitely an easy to use product to try.Winged Eyeliner Stamp Beauty Review Blackswallow

Review: Little Twin Stars Palette (Sugarpill)

Sugarpill Little Twin Stars Eyeshadow Palette Beauty Review Black Swallow

I am officially found the cutest eyeshadow palette ever and, since this was limited edition, I’m really glad that I got my hands on this before it disappeared. This is the collaboration between Sugarpill andLittle Twins Stars(characters from the Japanese Sanrio company) and the full series also included two matte lipsticks – though I didn’t get those because they sell in a set, and I just can’t see myself using an opaque aqua lipstick ever. Instead, I just ordered the eyeshadow palette, which was what I had my eyes on from the beginning and I was really excited that I got this for half price too!

This won’t be available for long, but I got mine off the Black Swallow website – they’re an Australian online retailer (so keep in mind that prices are all in AUD) and they stock a few incredible brands that are difficult to find in Australia; Jeffree Star Cosmetics, Lunar Beauty, Juvia’s Place… just to name a few. They have a good range of different Sugarpill products too, like the lipsticks and single eyeshadows, so I’ll likely be getting a lot more from them in the future!

The prices on Black Swallow are pretty good, very comparable to American websites once they are converted, and their customer service is absolutely top notch. In fact, I received this within twelve hours of putting in the order and, even though I live in the same city as their warehouse, that is still incredible. I highly recommend them to so many people and I was also really thankful to be given the opportunity to visit their office and do a live stream with them (which happened after I bought this, so no sponsorship or collaboration here).

And so, keeping on topic with this Sugarpill x Little Twins Stars palette, let’s go!
