5 Favourite K-beauty Products

The Korean beauty industry has been booming for years, so it’s not surprise that it’s also super saturated with numerous brands and products. When people first delve into k-beauty, I find that most are only aware of larger brands (mostly owned by parent companies like Amore Pacific). However, this is one of those fields where indie brands aren’t exactly falling behind – in fact, a lot of the time they are actually doing better!

So then comes to question – where should you start? Today I’ll be sharing five of my all-time favourite k-beauty skincare products. These are all products that I’ve used over and over again, so I would definitely recommend checking them out.

Let’s get into it!

Review: Blithe

Blithe StyleKorean Try me Review Me Kbeauty Skincare

This product was sent to me by StyleKorean for review purposes. I was not paid for this post but please note that affiliate links are used on my blog. These go towards supporting Oh My Stellar and future content.

It’s been a hot minute since I tried something new from Blithe, but I had such a great experience with their Energy Citrus and Honey Patting Splash Mask that when the opportunity came up – I had to take it. The products in this brand spotlight/review post were sent to me by StyleKorean as part of their Try Me Review Me program – this is a monthly open collaboration where they select a generous handful of beauty content creators to test out specifically curated beauty boxes.

If you’d like to join in next time, make sure to follow their Instagram because that’s where it all gets announced! For now though, let’s chat about what’s in this box.

This is the Blithe Try Me Review Me box and features four of their most popular (and unique) products: there is the Patting Splash Mask in Soothing & Healing Green Tea, Pressed Serum in Tundra Chaga, Inbetween Makeup Prep Essence and the Vital Treatment 8 Nourishing Beans. All of these are actually new to me (though I have used a different Splash mask before) so I think that I’ll need much more extensive testing to write a full review! However, I do want to share my initial thoughts and observations.

If you’d like to pick up any of these, or check out the Blithe line in general, head on over to the StyleKorean website – they’ve got an extensive range! Otherwise, let’s just right into this!

Review: Patting Splash Mask (Blithe)

Blithe Patting Splash Mask Energy Yellow Citrus & Honey Kbeauty Review

This product was sent to me by StyleKorean for review purposes. I was not paid for this post but please note that affiliate links are used on my blog. These go towards supporting Oh My Stellar and future content.

So I first decided to try out the Blithe Patting Splash Mask because it was so unique – I used masks all of the time and I’ve tried some pretty wild things (hello foot peeling mask) but I have never come across a ‘splash’ mask. To be honest, I didn’t really understand what it was either but, now that I’ve tried it, I have zero regrets. In fact, if I had actually searched up some reviews about this before hand, I wouldn’t have hesitated either – I’m definitely not the only one who loves this.

This is a liquid mask solution that is known to give pretty much instant results. The application of it can be a bit messy and there’s a learning curve to it but, once you get it, it’s pretty enjoyable. I first tested this out by using it every day for around 4 days, which was fine on my skin, but I read some (pretty reliable) reviews online that recommended to use it every second or third day instead, so I switched it up. Since this can be a bit pricey, I think that it’s better to be able to use it less often too anyway.

So this mask is currently selling on StyleKorean for USD$35.91 for a 200mL bottle – which is enough for approximately 30 uses – or USD$29 for a 150mL bottle. It comes in three different variants too but the one that I have is the Energy Citrus and Honey. Jump onto their website if you want to pick it up too but otherwise, let’s get into this review!
