CLIO Prism Air Eyeshadow Palette Kbeauty Review StyleKorean

I am totally weak for eyeshadow palettes and pretty packaging, so what am I supposed to do when the two of those come together? Obsess and get my hands on it, of course!

This is the Prism Air Palette from CLIO, and it has been all over the kbeauty community since its release. Their brand concept is to bring make up artist quality products to a street shop price point, so it’s all about high pigmentation, longevity and cool-girl packaging. Also, Peripera is their sister brand and they arguably do the best Korean lip tints ever – so that’s ’nuff said.

This palette is currently available at StyleKorean for USD$27.30 (on sale from USD$45.60) and also comes in two colour variants – Coral Sparkle and Pink Addict. I’ll be reviewing the Pink variant but definitely check out their website if you’d like to see any other offerings from CLIO.

So, let’s jump into this review!

Review: Veil Tint Dewy (CLIO)

CLIO Veil Tint Dewy Kbeauty Review

CLIO is one of those k-beauty brands that I trust when it comes to make up. Of course, it’s natural that not all of their products suit my skin type (for example, those very popular dewy cushion foundations look ridiculous on me), they are still very consistent with their quality and brand values. I’ve been in love with them since back when I was studying in Korea and my friend got me into their Kill Brow and Kill Black lines, and those are still products that I recommend to this day!

The CLIO brand is all about bringing professional artistry quality makeup to an affordable, road shop setting. When you go into their stores, you’ll find that everything is somewhat nightlife and club inspired (hence they call themselves Club CLIO) so you can expect high pigmentation, long wearing and life-proof formulations.

StyleKorean just sent me through three of the Veil Tint Dewy (which I have been eying because of the gorgeous monochromatic packaging). I chose three shades from different colour families – Maroon Blood, Rose Milk Tea and Taro Rose – as I wanted to give a wholistic overview on how these perform.

If you want to get your hands on them, they are selling for USD$9.60 each (on sale from USD$19.20) at StyleKorean. But before that, lets get into this review!

Review: Pro Eye Palette – Simply Pink (CLIO)

CLIO Pro Eye Palette Simply Pink Kbeauty Review

I feel like some really pretty eyeshadow palettes have been coming out of the kbeauty industry lately and that makes me so excited. Palettes are my weakness but I generally don’t use many Korean formulas because I find that many brands just aren’t pigmented or adventurous enough for my personal preferences. The recent trends are definitely leaning towards more colour and self expression though, perhaps even inspired by some of the Western beauty trends too – and I love it.

Maybe a month or so ago, I found a range of eyeshadow palettes that really caught my attention – the new Pro Eye Palette from CLIO. It seems to be a kbeauty dupe of the Huda Beauty Nude Palette, but actually comes in three colour stories – Simply Pink (which is the one I’ll be reviewing), Coral Talk and Brown Choux. CLIO is a brand famous for creating high coverage and long lasting make up products that are both artist quality and road shop priced. I’ve been a fan of their brand since I got my first liquid eyeliner from them and still use their stuff all the time.

After waiting a while for this to show up on my favourite kbeauty sites (previously, I had only seen it on the official Korean instagram), I found out that all three were being stocked at StyleKorean. I had a hard time choosing but I ended up getting the Simply Pink palette to test out, since this colour scheme seemed to fit my personal style best.

It is currently selling on StyleKorean for USD$35.20 so pop onto their website if you want to grab one (or three). But before you do that, let’s get into this review!

Review: Kill Cover Stay Perfect Foundation (CLIO)

CLIO Kill Cover Stay Perfect Foundation Kbeauty Stylekorean Review

In my humble opinion, everyone is looking for the perfect foundation (unless you have perfect skin in which case, thanks – I am very jealous). I’ve personally been trying out a lot of different base cosmetics to try and find something that really works for me; my skin type has changed in recent years from very dry to combination-oily, which was a pretty big jump and can even vary depending on the seasons and weather. A lot of the foundation formulas that worked for me back in the days don’t anymore but, in general, I now prefer to use lightweight matte formulas.

The CLIO Kill Cover Cushion is one that I used back when I first started experimenting with cushions, but I haven’t tried out their foundation until now. This is the Kill Cover Stay Perfect Foundation, which is a liquid foundation that comes in a set with a “hydro makeup sponge”. It comes in four shades and I’ll be reviewing Lingerie (which is the equivalent of a shade 21 and my usual when it comes to their base cosmetics).

I received this from StyleKorean for reviewing purposes so, if you’re keen on getting this, it is available on their website for USD$36 – it is similarly priced in comparison to other CLIO products too, but liquid foundations will last much longer than cushions.

So, let’s get into it!

Review: Water Gel Tint (Peripera)

Peripera Tint Water Gel Kbeauty Lip Review

I bought this product with my own money. However, this post also contains affiliate links as an alternative shopping recommendation. These go towards supporting Oh My Stellar and future content.

Are you more of a lip tint or a lipstick sort of person? I had actually never used a lip tint until I got into Korean make up and I actually think that this is a product type that’s quite unique to Asian cosmetics. You see more products like this in Australia now but Western formulations are always more like a gloss and less like a stain – of course, this most likely comes down to differences in style.

Personally, I tend to use a wide range of products and formulas, all dependent on my mood and the overall look. I find that tints are best for days when I want a lightweight but vibrant lip colour, and not having to worry too much about retouching it. Also, since my make up style also varies, I do think that tints are best suited to Asian style or more natural looks.

Out of all of the lip tints that I’ve tried (and trust me, there are so many), the one brand that’s never let me down is Peripera! I started out with their original lip inks – there were only five colours back then – and now both their range and my collection has been greatly expanded. They had a wide range of different formulas, shades and really cute packaging.

One of the new ones that I haven’t tried before is the Water Gel Tint – and I’ve finally tried it out! I have been mostly avoiding it because I’m not very fond of water tint formulas – they tend to be too thin and a bit drying for me, but I wanted to give these a shot. I bought two of the shades – Redbeanpress and Beetpress – and they were both the perfect choice for me.

So, read on for my full review!
