Have you guys heard of a brand called Swanicoco? I was introduced to them by StyleKorean who, at the time that I received this product, had just brought them to their store. However, I’ve actually seen their stuff around on Instagram before! To be honest, I can’t say that I am that familiar with them though, but I was still interested to try them out.

Swanicoco is a brand that focuses on the use of natural ingredients – in fact, the founder started out by making natural skincare for her family’s sensitive and atopic skin conditions. All products from the brand use 90% to 100% natural ingredients and are free from animal testing. In addition, the brand excludes any harmful ingredients from their formulations (pigments, synthetic perfumes, chemical preservatives, alcohol, mineral oil, paraben and benzophenone) so they are also suitable for sensitive skin.

I decided to start off with their Multi Solution Triple V Ampoule. I love brightening products and, since my skin has been quite irritated with all of my break outs lately, it seemed like I needed a new and more gentle formula.

This is currently available on the StyleKorean website for USD$24.20 so definitely jump on there if you want to check it out.

Otherwise, let’s get into this review!

Product Description

The Multi Solution Triple V Ampoule is a gentle but effective product that targets both brightening and anti-aging needs. Rather than water, it uses a ‘Vitamin Fruit Extract’ as a base (Hippophae Rhamnoides Extract, or sea buckthorn), which gives it added potency when compared with many other commercial products.

The product contains a number of vitamins, most notably Vitamin C and E, to “gently exfoliate your skin to reveal that brighter and younger skin beneath” (directly quoted from the Swanicoco website). In addition, it also contains Adenosine to help tighten and firm skin texture, taking care of any anti-wrinkle concerns.

In addition to all of this, the Multi Solution Triple V Ampoule also claims to have a lightweight and non-sticky texture that is fast absorbing (and I can definitely vouch for that). Each bottle comes with 50mL of product, pretty generous for an ampoule, so I think that I’ll be using it for a long time too!

I personally feel that the design of the unicarton is pretty lacklustre. The ampoule comes in a white, glossy finish box with gray and maroon print. The quality of the cardboard is decent and the box was pretty much perfect after postage too (i.e. it didn’t get battered up or anything). However, it just looks cheap. From a design perspective, all sides are just too text heavy and it’s not particularly attractive. There’s no real theme or concept to the design either – in fact, it just barely matches the bottle.

When you open up the box, the bottle has the same print on the front as on the box (except in white). However, it’s made from an orange tinted glass which suits the ‘vitamin’ concept of the formula. It also comes with a silver dropper too, which is easy to use and a good quality.

I like the design of the bottle. The orange glass is a nice touch for any vitamin based product, the material is sturdy and the dropper is really handy for application too (more on that later). Although the design of the bottle is very basic (and I still think that that print is way too much), I strongly prefer it over the unicarton design. It would make the product look a lot classier if they carried over some of that orange colour and used a matte finish for the cardboard.

Because of the external design, this isn’t a product that I would gift – the unicarton is always seen first and it just doesn’t elicit excitement. It’s more something that I would buy to use myself.

Application & Personal Experiences

The Multi Solution Triple V Ampoule has an angled dropper design which makes it easy to apply the product directly to your face. The formula is definitely very watery (as per the product claims), so you need to take care that you don’t make a mess. I tend to do nine small drops (instead of a single larger one, which is more likely to drip) and then pat it into my skin. I find that this formula absorbs very quickly and gives the skin a nice dewiness, but with no sticky or tacky residue.

Hypothetically, this could work nicely underneath make up but I would still not recommend using any vitamin product during the day. If you do though, then you need to make sure to use adequate sunscreen and also stay out of direct sunlight.

After using it for a while, I noticed that it helped with lightening some of my acne scars – though hasn’t totally gotten rid of them. However, my overall complexion does look brighter and much more even with less redness and irritation. I’m pretty happy with the brightening benefits here.

As I mentioned earlier, I have also been getting a lot of hormonal break outs lately – which is why I wanted to use a formula that was more suitable for sensitive skin. However, I was still pretty careful about using this ampoule, since I’ve developed a reaction to sea buckthorn before. I’m glad to say that I was able to use this every day with no negative reactions!

Overall, I think that this is a good product to use for sensitive or sensitised skin (such as mine). The formula has a nice citrus scent and a lightweight formula that applies easily – it would work for both dry or oily skin types. It’s also thin enough that it’s easy to add into your current skincare routine (i.e. no issue with layering products).

The results aren’t as dramatic as I would usually like, but I’m still happy with it seeing as I’m currently break out haven and probably couldn’t handle something more potent. Aside from subtly lightening scars and pigmentation, I especially love how it has evened out and calmed my skin. This definitely helps with redness and acne irritation.

I think that I will continue to use this product, especially while I am still trying to tame my break outs, but this isn’t a product that I would repurchase. Once I’m back to my normal condition, I will likely be looking for something stronger. The Multi Solution Tripe V Ampoule is still best suited for people with sensitive or irritated skin.

So here’s the verdict!

A lightweight vitamin serum with a sea buckthorn base with brightening and anti-aging benefits

  • Sturdy glass bottle packaging
  • Angled dropped makes it easy to apply directly to the face
  • High concentration of sea buckthorn vs water
  • Pleasant citrus scent
  • Thin texture – easy to absorb
  • No stickiness or tacky residue
  • Easy to layer
  • Lightens scarring (but very gradually)
  • Evens out overall skin tone and reduces redness
  • Suitable for sensitive or sensitised skin

  • Really bad unicarton (box) packaging design
  • Not dramatic results – may not be strong enough for some skin types

  • PACKAGING | 2/5
  • PRICE POINT | 4/5
  • SCENT | 5/5
  • ABSORPTION | 5/5

Note: The ‘Anti-aging’ benefit of this product wasn’t tested as my skin won’t show results from that properly

For people with sensitive skin or who want a product that is both effective and gentle enough for daily use, then I would definitely be recommending this. Again, the main concern I have with this product is the packaging design, but that’s really a personal thing. Formula wise, I think that this really delivers on its claims and follows the brand values well.

The Multi Solution Triple V Ampoule is available on StyleKorean for USD$24.20! You can also check out the Swanicoco page for more products from their brand and the other three variants too!
