Brand Spotlight: Amuse, the Vegan K-Beauty Brand

By Posted on 0 Comments9min read0 views

If you’re a fan of Red Velvet (the kpop group), then you have definitely heard of Amuse before – because their brand model is Seulgi! Based in Seoul, they’re a fairly new beauty brand that’s all about clean, vegan formulas (certified by Eye Vegan), sustainability, and well as unique colours that bring happiness and good vibes.

I was originally introduced to Amuse through StyleKorean‘s recommendation, as they’ve started to stock a huge range of their products. After that, I took my time painstakingly deciding what I wanted to try, because I was essentially keen on everything.. but I think I made some great choices!

Read on to see some of the different formulations by Amuse, including their Eye Vegan Sheer Palette, Blush Kit and Dew Velvet Lip Tint. I also have a review of their cushions coming soon, but I wanted to keep those separate. Check out StyleKorean to shop their entire rane but before you do, let’s get into this post.

Review: All Take Mood Cheek Palette in Nude in Mood (Peripera)

By Posted on 0 Comments4min read2 views

This product was sent to me for review purposes. Please note that affiliate links are used.

For me, the past year has been all about casual, easy-to-wear make up looks – perhaps it’s because I spent most of the last two years wearing a mask, or maybe because I was in lockdown for months. The perk of more ‘natural’ make up looks is that they’re a lot lower maintenance and take less time to put together.

The All Take Mood Cheek Palette from Peripera is great for these natural make up looks. There are three variations in total, all containing three shades, but the one I’ll be reviewing the Nude in Mood. This one is quite light and sheer, so would be great for people with a fairer skin tone.

All of the variations are available on StyleKorean for USD$16 (on sale from USD$20), so pop over if you’d like to find out more! In the meantime, let’s jump into this review!

Review: Real Up Cheek (Espoir)

By Posted on 0 Comments5min read0 views

I’ve had my eye on Espoir as a brand for years now. I first came across them while I was a student in Korea but didn’t have the chance to try their products – they’re not actually that expensive, but I was living on a very limited allowance as an exchange student. Now that I’m working and can afford to spend more on my make up though, I’m pretty keen to get back into what felt just out of reach back then.

Espoir (stylized as eSpoir) is primarily a make up brand and has a focus on enhancing natural beauty – blending a professional make up artist vibe with popular, accessible trends. Because of this, their products are fun but still maintain a sleek, high end aesthetic.

The product that I’ll be showing you today is called the Real Up Cheek, and I’ll be straight up with you – this is one of the cutest blushes that I’ve never seen, and it’s not even cat themed or an anime collaboration! There are five shades in the range, but I’ll be reviewing Cheery Berry and Caring Coral. These are all available at StyleKorean for USD$16.20 (on sale from USD$18) so pop on over there if you want to check them out.

And now, let’s get into this review!

Review: Flower Beauty

By Posted on 0 Comments16min read1 views

This product was sent to me for review purposes.

I don’t know anyone my age who doesn’t know Drew Barrymore; she’s an inspiring American actress who started out as a child star in ET and eventually became also super well known for her work in comedy – Charlie’s Angels, 50 First Dates, The Wedding Singer, Never Been Kissed, Music and Lyrics… goodness, the list just goes on! She is an icon and an inspiring figure who has been outspoken about her early battles with addiction, the impact of Hollywood, and is proof of how someone can fall down and come back stronger than ever.

In addition to watching her movies over and over again, I’ve also really wanted to try out her beauty brand Flower Beauty. Admittedly, I am often a bit skeptical about celebrity brands – too often they feel like unconsidered cash grabs, but this is exceptional. Flower Beauty is all about creating cosmetics that are easy and fun – because you are already beautiful. Their products are cruelty-free, so affordable and yes, Drew Barrymore has done so many videos genuinely talking about and using her own products.

In reviewing the brand, I’ll be sharing with you a number of different products including the Shimmer & Strobe Highlighting Palette, the Day Glow Highlight Glaze, the Lash Warrior Mascara, the Pyramids Cheek Color, and Petal Pout Lip Masks.

These are all currently available at Chemist Warehouse, their official Aussie stockist, and everything is under AUD$10! You can shop them at selected stores or online (use my ShopBack Referral Link for extra cashback too).

Before you do that though, let’s get into this!

Review: Be Original Edition – Hanbok Pt II (Romand)

By Posted on 0 Comments9min read1 views

This product was sent to me by StyleKorean for review purposes. I was not paid for this post but please note that affiliate links are used on my blog. These go towards supporting Oh My Stellar and future content.

It’s no longer a secret that I’m a huge fan of Romand and have this urge to collect pretty much everything they release. In my last review of their Be Original Edition, I looked at their See Through Veilighter and Glasting Water Tints (which I still use and love on the regular). I was once again blown away by their concept execution and formulations, so I wanted to get a few more things from the collection… so here’s part two!

This time, I’ll be reviewing the See Through Melting Cheek and the See Through Matte Tint – the blushers are a whole new formula for the brand whilst the matte tints are pre-existing, but still new to me. In addition to this, there is also the Be Original Clear Cover Cushion and the Better Than Eyes.

These are all still available at StyleKorean but for a very limited time only – I’m not 100% sure on this but I think that the collaboration is finished now (or finishing soon) so it’s just while stocks last. In a big fan of Romand in general so… I would always be recommending these!

Ready for the review? Let’s get into it!

Review: Be Original Edition – Hanbok (Romand)

By Posted on 0 Comments8min read1 views

This product was sent to me by StyleKorean for review purposes. I was not paid for this post but please note that affiliate links are used on my blog. These go towards supporting Oh My Stellar and future content.

2020 was the year that I fell head over heels in love with Romand. I first tried them out in 2018 but they totally blew me away last year when they collaborated with one of my favourite Korean brands Neonmoon – you can check out my raving review of it here.

Of course they continued from strength-to-strength and, not long after that, I was completely taken by the Be Original Edition (also known as the Hanbok Collection)! This was a collaboration with the Korea Cultural Heritage Foundation (K-Heritage), and is inspired by the beautiful textiles and elegance of the Hanbok. I’m a bit of a geek and I adore traditional Asian garments, so I loved the aesthetics and style of this. The design actually reminded me a lot of the Jeonju Hanok Village, where I visited quite a few years ago!

That being said, I did get onto this collection a bit late so I don’t have everything here. More products are available on the StyleKorean website though. For today, I’ll be reviewing the See Through Veilighter and the Glasting Water Tints. You can also find the See Through Melting Cheek, See Through Matte Tint and the Clear Cover Cushion (the blush has been quite raved out and I definitely want to check it out).

Make sure to check out the StyleKorean website to pick these up, but let’s get into this review first!
